Each of Full Sail's degree programs is developed and shaped in conjunction with an advisory board of industry professionals. By working closely with leaders and creative minds within a given industry, we are able to constantly adapt and revise our curriculum to make sure we're giving students the optimal educational experience to help propel them into their careers.

Henry Maldonado

President
Enzian Theater

Mr. Maldonado is President of Orlando’s Enzian Theater, which showcases first-run independent films and hosts film-related events, including the annual Florida Film Festival. Prior to joining the Enzian, Mr. Maldonado was Vice President and General Manager of WKMG-TV, the Orlando CBS affiliate. Before joining WKMG, Mr. Maldonado was Vice President of Audience and Sales Promotion for all six Post-Newsweek Stations, and prior to that worked as Vice President of Programming and Promotion for WDIV in Detroit. Mr. Maldonado also was Executive Producer for both WCBS and WNBC in New York. He was Program Director for Cultural affairs at WGBH, Boston’s PBS station. Mr. Maldonado began his career at WBZ in Boston as a producer/director. He is a graduate of Boston University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Broadcasting and Film.

Tom Burton

Orlando Sentinel

Tom Burton is a photo and video editor for the Orlando Sentinel and its online brands. He has worked for the Sentinel since 1983 and has been involved in the integration of new technologies moving from chemical darkrooms to the era of mobile digital journalism. As a photojournalist, his assignments ranged from breaking news and political campaigns to major sports events and international stories. He was an early adopter to the Internet as a founding contributor in 1997 to one of the first journalism blogs, Behind the Viewfinder. In 1999, he was a speaker and a student at the inaugural Platypus Workshop designed to cross-train photojournalists in video production. Since then, as a photo editor, he has supervised the development and implementation of new media projects, including training journalists in multimedia reporting. A native Floridian, he is a graduate of the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida.

Glenn Osten Anderson

New Media Producer and Journalist

Glenn Osten Anderson (MST, MFA, IADAS - Associate Member) is an award-winning video journalist-producer with a decade of experience in web media and TV. His work has taken him from major college football to the White House and Afghanistan to Haiti. His work has been featured in The Guardian (UK), CBS College Sports, Runner's World, HBO Real Sports, Military.com, DefenseTech, Financial Times-Money Media, film festivals and two permanent museum installation documentaries. Glenn has also worked extensively in advertising and public affairs, producing and editing documentary-style projects for Nike, The City of New York, US Department of Energy, New Balance, and Universal/Motown Records. Glenn is a graduate of the University of Oxford (UK) and New York Univerity’s Tisch Graduate Film Department.

Christian Oliver

Digital Media Strategist
CNN.com

Christian currently works for CNN.com on the Strategy and Partnerships group on projects involving the Health, iReport, Living, and Travel sections of the site. His professional career has been focused on the digital media side of news organizations, beginning with the development of El Universal’s website (Venezuela’s most influential newspaper) in 1995. He has devoted himself passionately to understanding consumer technology and digital media and the opportunities it creates for content creators and advertisers. His experience within this industry is broad, ranging from developing digital media products to leading a private equity group and consulting for large media organizations around the world. Christian has worked with small newspapers as well as with large media conglomerates in project of all sizes.

Matthew Myers

Professor, Film

Matt Myers has more than 25 years experience in film and television and 10 years experience in higher education. Myers just wrapped a year as a Fulbright Scholar in Jordan teaching in the MFA program at the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts. Myers now teaches at The Film School at Scottsdale Community College. He has also taught at the University of Evansville, Harlaxton College in England, and the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai, UAE. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Indiana, he studied cinematography at Maine Media Workshops/Rockport College, and earned his MFA at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Myers has photographed or produced programs for The Discovery Channel, CBS’ The Early Show, NBC, ESPN, PBS, F/X, and MTV. He is an award-winning cinematographer, editor, director, writer and producer.

Amanda Watlington

Searching for Profit

Amanda is the founder of Searching for Profit, a search marketing strategy consulting agency. Prior to founding Searching for Profit, Amanda was Director of Research for a leading search engine optimization firm. Amanda’s creativity and expertise enabled her to develop patented language-based analytic tools and methodologies to support search engine marketing campaigns. She has served on DMA’s Search Engine Marketing Council, and was co-chair of the Council from 2002-2006. In 2006, Amanda developed the DMA’s search engine marketing certification program. She is currently the co-chair of the Web Analytics Association’s research committee and has served on the search and research committees of IAB.

Rafael Garcia

Vice President
Venemobile

Rafael Garcia received his MBA from the University of Miami’s Executive MBA International Business program. He is a graduate of Universidad Metropolitana with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and is also a Full Sail Digital Media graduate. Garcia’s work history includes Director of Product Development for Diario El Universal, a leading newspaper in Venezuela; Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Product Development for Quepasa.com, an internet portal and online community; Vice President of Operations, Chief Software Engineer, and Vice President of Operations for Cybertoons Digital, an e-commerce software development and internet solutions provider; and a Consultant for Interamerican Technology Services, an internet consulting firm.
