The Pop Culture in Media Course examines the role and importance of pop culture, providing a rich background for students to understand the historical and societal impact of pop culture. Students are introduced to key media milestones in pop culture history, and they explore the influence of pop culture on societal trends. Course topics range from The Beatles’ first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show to the effects of new media in the digital age.
